We have some big plans this summer that coincide with
our Vision Statement. The first great cause for praise to our God is the
baptisms on July 6th. We will be welcoming several new members
into our congregation. We will have a special baptismal service beginning
at 10:15AM and then proceed to the sanctuary to worship our Lord.
On August 2nd we will be hosting our Block
Party. It will look similar to last year with dunking booths, games,
sponsor give-aways, bands, etc. We will have food vendors this year so that
we do not have to collect all of that food, but we will be collecting drinks
for the event. We are looking forward to a large crowd and we will need
many volunteers contributing throughout the day. What a perfect way to
invite our community in for some great fun.
Of course, the very next week VBS kicks off. The VBS
planning team has been hard at work. We are expecting many children this
year and the theme is Lava Lava Island! We will need plenty of adults and
youth to accommodate all of those children so help out where you can!
Then on August 23rd the churches of the
TAABA association are grouping together to plan a Back 2 School Bash. Each
church will be collecting school supplies for the different school levels.
CRBC will be collecting school supplies for elementary age children. These
are the supplies we are collecting:

I believe that we need to make a real impact in the
community…it meets our Vision Statement…so I have set a goal for our church
of 500 units. One unit is all of the items you see above. I have already
told the other churches that we will be collecting 500…so we have our work
cut out for us. But can you imagine the number of people who will be helped
when they receive these packs. Multiply 500 by many other churches. On top
of that Christian bands will be playing and tracts will be handed out and
prayer booths will be set up to pray for and with these people. I am sure
that God’s name will be glorified and lost souls will be touched!
